Our individually designed, detached cottage, named after one of the local fells, is situated in the village of Ennerdale Bridge. It lies within the Lake District National Park, 1 mile from beautiful Ennerdale Water. Bright and airy inside, it is comfortably furnished and well-equipped, with fell views and a pleasing rear outlook over fields to the River Ehen. Red squirrels are occasional visitors to the south facing enclosed garden. The cottage sleeps up to 9 people comfortably. Downstairs comprises hallway, dining room, lounge, kitchen, utility room cloakroom and conservatory. Upstairs there are four bedrooms (one en-suite) and a bathroom with 'whirlpool' bath. |

The lounge has a wood/coal burning stove for colder evenings, colour TV with satellite (full Sky package) and a DVD/video. There is a small selection of family videos and a considerable library of walking guide books and maps to help plan your next excursion. For warm Summer evenings, the lounge doors open onto a west facing patio where you can enjoy the last of the sunshine over a barbecue. Completed in 2005 is new south-facing conservatory opening onto private garden. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher and fitted units. The master bedroom with uninterrupted views across a field to the River Ehen, has a king size (5ft) double bed and en-suite toilet and shower room. The spacious family room under eaves has has a double and a single bed. A further twin bedroom and single room both have village and mountain views. Heating is by electric night storage heaters.Children are welcome (cot and high chair available on request). Games facilities: board games, snooker table, table tennis, 2 courtesy mountain bikes (used entirely at your own risK). Off-road parking for 1 car. Further parking available on road opposite. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. |
